Egyptian, Israeli FMs talk about Gaza truce, Israeli-Palestinian peace process

(MENAFN) On Sunday, May. 30 Egypt�s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry convened with his visiting Israeli counterpart Gabi Ashkenazi to talk about boosting the latest cease-fire in the Gaza Strip and means to restore the Israeli-Palestinian peace process. Egypt�s Foreign Ministry stated in a report that both ministers concurred to maintain consultations between both nations and the Palestinian Authority "to explore ways out of the current stalemate in the peace track." The meeting also tackled the essential procedures to ease the rebuilding of Gaza Strip after the latest Israeli bombings that led to huge damages to the Gaza infrastructure. Egypt has assigned 500 million USD for the rebuilding. Ashkenazi's visit to Egypt took place 10 days after the Egypt-brokered truce that concluded the 11-day Israel-Hamas combating, which killed at least 248 Palestinians and 12 Israelis.
