Senior home employee tests positive for coronavirus

An employee who works at river grove memory care on green lane in eugene has tested positive for the virus.

Jillian, that's right, we learned about this new case this afternoon...making 36 positive tests for lane county.

Nearby residents say they are concerned for the wellbeing of the seniors inside-- river grove did not get back to us..and we don't know what kind of contact this employee did or did not have with residents.

While information about the employee has*not been released to protect their privacy...those who have been in contact*will be contacted by lane county public health.

I spoke with an in- home caregiver who lives right next to the center.

She says that this just hits too close to home... "it's definitely nerve-wracking because i've been taking every precuation i can to take our clients safe.

I haven't even been coming to the store.

My parents have been doing that for me."

I did reach out to river grove and was referred to the corporate office..but have yet to receive a response.
