I'm in downtown fayetteville now.

I've been here for the past four or five hours - and have seen many people walking in and out of the restaurants and businesses here.

I've gotten mixed reactions on the state's reopening - and the spike!

Michael mann, john maddox, dining in tennesse: "we come to get a good lunch, get a good steak and sit down for the first time in a long time."

Michael mann and john maddox have taken full advantage of restaurants dine in services since the state started re- opening michael mann, john maddox, dining in tennesse: "every restaurant we've eaten at as soon as we sit down they clean and as soon as we get up they clean."

While mann and maddox told me they weren't concerned with the spike in cases in tennessee within the last week... others felt differently vickie dorring, lives in lincoln co.

"i would say opening things back up it's gonna be a natural spike in anything that you do, it's gonna raise something."

Lincoln county mayor bill newman told me the spike in cases has more to do with two state prisons and a meat processing plant in tennessee being tested in the last week.

He says he wishes more of his residents would wear masks when going out...but for right now isn't concerned with the spike in cases mayor bill newman, lincoln county: "we won't know whether our relaxed opening businesses really changed anything for probably two weeks, at that point if we see numbers jump on positive cases it will concern me."

While some are choosing to be safe rather than sorry vickie dorring, lives in lincoln co.

"i'm not eager to get back out they offer to go services, and i'm not concerned with that at all i'm still going to be you know very precautious."

Others are resuming their lives like normal michael mann, john maddox, dining in tennesse: "i think everybodies ready to go on with their lives and things get back open and back to normal."

Lincoln county is one of the 89 counties in tennessee who will re-open closed contact services such as nail and hair salons.

The mayor says he has faith everyone will continue to be cautious once these services open back up - and isn't concerned about the re- opening live in lincoln county tennessee ashley carter waay 31
