- all that being said... the- c-u-s-a tournament won't be out- of- the magnolia state, for very- long... with southern miss- athletics later announcing pete- taylor park as the host site...- for 20-22.- the baseball championships were- last played in hattiesburg, - back in 20-16... capping off a- three-year run, at u-s-m... wit- a - dramatic 3-2 win over rice, on- - - - championship sunday... and a- regional dogpile, at the- pitcher's mound.- overall... southern miss has- hosted the event a league-- high six times... the other - years being 1996... 2005... - 2009... 2014... 2015... - and 2016.
