The Big Ten conference on Tuesday postponed the 2020 fall sports season, including football, due to ongoing COVID-19 concerns.

The league hopes to hold competition in the spring.

The Big Tenpostponing the 2020 seasonbecause of COVID-19 concerns.Kevin Warren, Big TenCommissioner: We just believe,collectively, thereuncertainty at this point intime in our country toencourage our student athletesto participate in fall sports.Big Ten Commissioner KevinWarren says the conferencewill continue to explore thepossibility of playing thosefall sports, includingfootball, in the spring.

Now theywait months and months for thepossibility to compete.Warren: Wehopefully to be able toaddress the issues of theopportunities if we can havemany of the fall sports thatwe were planning to have thisfall, that we can have thosein the spring, includingfootball.
