Local college party, leads to fatal shooting overnight

We're learning new information about a shooting that occurred overnight.

This was the scene at breaking news - we're working to get details on a shooting near downtown terre haute.

This was the scene at around three this morning.

We found several terre haute police department vehicles around the intersection of sixth and ohio streets.

An ambulance was also at the scene.

Indiana state university sent out an alert saying a shooting happened off campus.

It goes on to say this is an ongoing investigation.

We asked terre haute police for information.

But they would only tell us that people needed to avoid this area as an investigation was ongoing.
