Stonewall Elementary's Donnie Piercey, who teaches fifth grade is Kentucky's Elementary School Teacher of the Year.
Also another Lexington educator, Christopher McCurry was named the Kentucky High School teacher of the Year, who teaches at Lafayette High School.

Piercey... goes on to represent kentucky in the national teacher of the year competition.
