MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) -- Tattnall Square Academy partnered with Kids Yule Love to help collect toys for the kids in need of Middle Georgia.

Nat sound standup: tattnall square academy hosted their thirty fourth annual christmas program where they collected toys for the kids yule love.

The academy wanted to bring joy this christmas to kids in need.

Many of the kids in atttendance have a deep connection to the program.

They feel this is a way to give back to the community.

"this is like an important event to me because iv'e been at tattnall since k4 so iv'e always been a part of this program."

The program is made up of students from all grade levels singing, playing instruments and dancing.

"our whole school, students, parents from every grade come and they bring and collect gifts that we donate to them and they take them out and give them to those in need."

Parents were able to attend and help contribute.

Macon-bibb commissioner joe allen, founder of the organization kids yule love, is grateful to have the help of the academy.

"with the number of counties that we have to take care of the children is needed.

There's a lot of charities out there which is good because it takes every one of us."

Tattnall square is one of the biggest donors in middle georgia.

The need for toys has increased during the pandemic, and this program will help those in need.
