None sot: chief mike mancini, oneonta fire department there's no municipal water supply over there, so with a building that size and a commercial building, we immediately went to a defensive aerial operation, so we were going to need a lot of tankers to supply water for the multiple aerial ladders.

Bystanders say the fire appeared to be under control within a couple of hours, but oneonta's fire chief says getting the fire under control required a good deal of coordination.

Sot: chief mike mancini, oneonta fire department the difficult part is organizing everyone, and we were utilizing 2 different water supply sites.

One from our south side dam, and one a little further up the road about 2 mile that way we could have tankers coming in from 2 directions.

The great part was it was a giant parking lot in front of it so we could utilize every inch of that space that we had to.

State fire investigators are now working on a cause of the fire, and are using a drone to aid in the investigation.

Sot: kirk tupaj i did speak briefly with the owner of holiday lanes, who's owned the building for the last 10 or 12 years.

He says he has done a number of upgrades over the years and has an insurance adjuster on site, but it's just too early to tell whether or not he will rebuild.
