Nationals deal Phillies crushing 5-1 defeat in Game 1 of doubleheader

The Philadelphia Phillies can ill afford to lose many games during the final week of the season if they hope to reach the postseason, but they fell to the Washington Nationals on Tuesday afternoon, 5-1. It was the first game of a scheduled doubleheader and dropped Philly below .500 on the season.
