Eight of those cases were individuals in their 20s, which raises interesting questions about the epidemiology links and relations.

Health officials say six out of the 11 cases in lane county... went to bars or parties frequently... and they weren't concerned about social distancing.

Matt,*eight of the*eleven new positive covid-19 cases that came in today, were individuals in their 20's.

And according to the u of o's website,*three students tested positive for covid-19 today -- with a fourth student presumptive positive.

Jason davis with lane county public health says six of the eleven individuals... frequently bar- hopped.

And they went to house parties... where there wasn't any social distancing happening.

He says none of them were wearing masks.

The individuals are all in isolation recovering but this does raise some interesting questions.

I spoke with dr. patrick luedtke about the connection in these cases.... and here's what he he shared.

"so we don't have all that data but we do have out of that pull of patients, we have at least a couple that are linked to student activities."

Dr. luedtke says he can't give out more information abou the cases because nurses are still conducting contract tracing.

But jason davis did share that younger populations who don't feel at risk are engaging in risky behavior -- and that affects*everyone in the community.
