Coast Transit Authority opens new transit center

There’s a new Coast Transit Authority transit center and hub of operations in Gulfport.

This- is the hub of our bus operation- that we're moving - from 15th street over to here.- it's a beautiful building."

Four years in the works - two - years in the planning and - finance stage - and two years i- construction - not to mention - covid delays - cta buses finall- rolled out at at the new site - monday.

This is a- perfect example of how cta- - - - works with economic development- and the economy and supporting- those - things.

We've got the parking - garage and the hub here.

We're- going to be building a- $10-million dollar pedestrian - bike/tram bridge here.

We're- going to bid that out - - - - this year.

It will be finished- next year."

We're going to- have books in here and a digita- library.

It's just a- - - - multi-use building."
